Wonder What Wednesdays is a music residency hosted by singer/songwriter Shawnee Kilgore. On Wednesday, July 17, Colin Gilmore & Nicolette Good will perform together, standing in for Shawnee while she is across the pond.

Performing songwriters Colin Gilmore and Nicolette Good have been collaborating since 2013, when the two solo artists shared a stage swapping songs. Raised in Lubbock, TX, Colin Gilmore is the son of American singer-songwriter, Jimmie Dale Gilmore. Nicolette Good is a Houston native and a music student since age five.

Today they both live and work in Austin, but initially the creative partners commuted for rehearsals and writing sessions, often meeting on the lawns of Texas State University in San Marcos. Fueled by shared eclectic influences including 80’s pop and indie rock, Gilmore and Good write and perform music that is at once quirky, clever and heartfelt.

After seeing the duo live, rock legend Dave Alvin put it best: “I always look for artists who can mix wise lyrics, unique voices with unexpected musical twists, and Nicolette and Colin consistently deliver the goods.”
