Vinylmnky, Native Hostels, SXSW and Austin Music Foundation are proud to present our second ‘On The Record’ Music Marketplace on Sunday, June 23 from 10am-3:30pm at Native Hostel.

The marketplace provides a forum for Austin’s creative community to connect and learn about various aspects of the music business through curated talks, educational workshops and music brand activations. The marketplace was created in 2018 as a community-building effort that promotes growth within the ATX music industry and celebrates our city’s diverse music ecosystem. The event is open to the public and free to attend.

The theme for this next marketplace event is “marketing yourself as a musician in the DIY digital age”. The Austin Music Foundation is curating and producing the educational programming portion held in the Parlour Room downstairs, which will feature talks with leading industry experts hosted by musician and podcaster Johnny Goudie. Speakers soon to be announced.

Upstairs, in the Romper Room, Leslie Lozano will present a workshop on “Social Media Marketing for Musicians, followed by the AMF/TuneCore Present “Digital Marketing Strategies: Making Ad for Social Media” interactive workshop with digital media expert Ramiro Sarabia.

From curated music business talks and interactive workshops, to free consultations and activations with music-support organizations and brands, to an eclectic market and musical performances, everyone can find a place within ‘On The Record’.
