The Lady Friends series of concerts began at Church of the Friendly Ghost’s original Pedernales Street location in East Austin as a way to spotlight female experimental musicians. Lady Friends celebrates women on the leading-edge of contemporary musical expressions and provides performers and audience a space to connect and exchange ideas. On December 6 of 2014, a magnificent two-day event Daughter of Lady Friends Experimental Music Salon featured many exciting local, regional, and national female experimental musicians and artists. This year we will spend another day with female performers from many genres and areas of interest. This year’s Daughter of Lady Friends event will include many performances, discussion and other media presentations within our home base of Salvage Vanguard Theater.
