This year’s festival will future salsa and bomba dances for the public and students will display traditional Puerto Rican dances including Carnaval, Danza, Plena and more.
Join Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance as they celebrate their 21st anniversary in Texas. Celebrando 2019 brings together Orquesta Trabuko – the hottest Salsa band in Central Texas and the folklore of Puerto Rico with special guests:
This year’s festival debuts a high-energy Carnaval and a joyful estampa based on Puerto Rico’s Juegos Infantiles (Children’s games)! Enjoy Bailes de Salon featuring Danza, Waltz, Pregones in Plena, and ALWAYS there will be Bomba — bring your falda (skirt)!
A live salsa band, Orquesta Trabuko, will also be performing at this semi-formal event. Grab your dancing shoes!!
Always a family friendly event, enjoy youth performances by PRFDance students. Vendors offering handcrafted artesania, jewelry, Puerto Rican souvenirs, artwork and more. Food and beverages from Chago’s Caribbean Cuisine will be available for purchase.
– Adults: $20 in advance / $25 day of the festival.
– Children (ages 3-12) are $5.00.
– Children 2 & under are FREE.
