AFS Presents: History of Television: International Day of Rockford

AFS Presents: History of Television: International Day of Rockford

Presented by Austin Film Society at AFS Screening Room

For the third year in a row we offer a selection of two episodes of the seminal cop show THE ROCKFORD FILES. Under show runners Stephen J. Cannell and David Chase, who went on to revolutionize episodic TV with THE SOPRANOS, the program featured some of the best writing of any TV program in broadcast history. And, as always, there is the acting of the late, great James Garner. This free screening features two carefully programmed episodes of the show as well as brief introductions and historical context.
