The Artisan Mercado© sells Latin-themed, locally-crafted fine jewelry, glassware, ceramics, and tapestry pillows; dresses, handbags and crafts; and paintings, prints and mixed media.
The Artisan Mercado© takes place at the Old Bakery and Emporium, 1006 Congress Avenue every first and third Saturday of the month. Attendees can shop for latin-themed locally-crafted, fine jewelry, ceramics, and tapestry pillows; Mexican and Colombian dresses, handbags and crafts; and Honduran, Mexican and Texan paintings, prints and mixed media. The marketplace is free and open to the public The venue offers free jewelry and art and crafts workshops on a regular basis.
This project is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department, Mexic-Arte Museum, La Peña, Inc. and the Old Bakery and Emporium of the City of Austin.
