Two fun 1-week day camps available — June 3-7 for beginner to advanced, June 10-14 for advanced singers! 4-part harmony, choreography, skills, art, magic and more! Still room for last-minute registrants!
Come spend a week with the Austin Girls’ Choir! Their general day camp June 3-7 is a great way to get a taste of the AGC experience and learn lots of new skills. This session is for girls age 8-15, beginner to advanced, and no audition is required. Music ranges from light classical to pop, heavy on the 60’s this year. AGC sings in 3 and 4-part harmony, and do easy choreography with some songs. Camp runs 9-5 daily, with a public concert at 5 p.m. on June 7. Lunch and snacks provided.
Advanced singers age 10-18 who read music well may audition (schedule at 512-453-0884) for the advanced camp, to be held June 10-14. This also functions as AGC’s tour prep camp, and will be challenging and fast-paced. AGC will polish several selections from the previous camp as well as additional repertoire, and do local run-out performances. Girls may also apply for inclusion in concert tour (June 16-22), since we will tour in-state this year. Camp runs 9-5 daily, with a public concert at 5:30 p.m. on June 14. Lunch and snacks provided.
Each camp is $350 for the week, and includes lunch and snacks plus a choir t-shirt. Each participant is enrolled upon receipt of registration form (available on website) and payment. We still have room and will accept girls through Monday, June 3, but request advance contact via 512-453-0884 or office@girlschoir.com so that we will have enough music, supplies and food for last-minute additions.
