The Women in Jazz Association, Inc. keeps jazz alive Friday, September 4, 2015 at 7:00 PM at the One World Theatre with A Tribute to Legends of Jazz. Performers include Fredrick Sanders (piano), Mike Malone (sax), Andre Hayward (trombone) and vocalists Tatiana Mayfield, Courtney Santana, and Pamela Hart– all accompanied by Bassist Mike Stevens, Keyboardist Vince Wiley and Drummer Terrance McDaniel.

All of these musicians are great soloists in their own right—and now together to recreate the classic sounds of swing, bebop and cool. Some of the legends that will be honored are Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis, Sarah Vaughan, John Coltrane, Bud Powell, Stan Getz, Lester Young, Erroll Garner, and many, many others.
