TRAFFIC JAM is a performance project about Austin’s relationship with transportation. Showcasing choreographed ensembles of automobiles, motorcycles, and amplified bicycles, our culminating performance will feature a live participatory concert featuring an all-star roster of Austin artists. http://collidearts.org/traffic-jam
New work for motorcycles and percussion (Graham Reynolds), road rage music performed (Austin Soundwaves, Henna Chou, James Parker, and Seetha Shivaswamy), an amplified playset landscape for wooden car and trucks (Matt Steinke), a fleet of musical bicycles (Laura Brackney), choreography for kiddie cars and sensors (line upon line percussion), an examination of the parking garage as a musical instrument (Mark McCoin and Max Bernstein), and symphonies for carhorns (played by YOU!)
