The 2015 Annual Unified Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 19, from 11am to 3pm at The Vortex Theatre. This is a great opportunity for actors to be seen by directors, producers, and leaders of both theater and film organizations throughout Central Texas. Actors of all ages, ethnicities, and physical ability are encouraged to participate. Showcase your talent and meet others in the Austin performing arts industry!

Auditions will be held at The Vortex, 2307 Manor Road, Austin, TX 78722

All applicants must meet at least ONE of the following criteria: 

Be a member of AEA or AEA eligible
Have accumulated the equivalent of one year’s acting training
Have performed in at least two non-school, public stage productions (university/college productions accepted)   

What to prepare before the auditions: 

One 1-minute monologue that best represents your acting ability
16 bars or approximately 30 seconds of music (must provide sheet music in your key). A professional piano accompanist will be provided. Music Auditions will take place in the afternoon.
50 standard 8″x10″ headshots and resumes, delivered to the ACA office no later than 5pm, Tuesday, September 15.
All resumes must be affixed to headshots (either stapled/taped/glued or printed directly on the back of the headshot – NO PAPER CLIPS). Resumes must include your  telephone number, email address and cite previous performing experience. If you are currently represented please be sure to include your agency’s contact information.

Mail for delivery or hand deliver headshots/resumes to ACA Offices on or before September 15, at 5pm to ACA:

Our office hours are: Monday through Friday 1:30pm-5pm. (If you need to deliver at an earlier time, just email us to schedule a time to drop off your documents.)

You will be contacted via email on or before August 24 with your time slot, provided that you registered by August 22. If you register on or after Aug 23, the second round of time slots will be communicated to you via email on or before September 14. 

Keep in mind – if you have signed up to perform a song, your time slot will be after 1pm on September 19, no exceptions.
