ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
EJAY was born and raised in Nigeria. He started dancing at the age of ten, training in traditional Nigerian dance styles and fell in love right away with dance. He was also part of the afrobeat street battle lifestyle back home in Nigeria and so he has a good understanding of the origins of many afrobeat movements.
Ejay has worked with and choreographed for artists like Korede Bello, young Paris, CDQ, ketchup, Niniola, et al.
He moved to NYC a year ago to train with top notch industry choreographers in various styles like street jazz, hip hop and jazz. These styles bear a little influence on his afrobeat style. His class style teaches a fusion of naija street styles and street jazz.
