Enjoy a Texas style tea party with savory and sweet kolaches and some decadent treats that are so good your mom’s going to thank you for being born! Plus there’s a Vintage inspired Spring fashion show curated by Pin Curl Perfection’s Peachy Keen and Hempton’s Retro Threads, a silent auction with some amazing prizes (such as several different resort accommodations in the Caribbean), a classic car show with prizes for “People’s Choice” (where the crowd votes on their favorite) and “Mama Knows Best” (it’s up to the mothers to decide who goes home with the prize).

As if all that wasn’t enough to keep the whole family occupied, there’ll be a make-your-own slime station and coloring corner for kiddos, giant Jenga and Cornhole. Plus, live music from Giddy Up Go, the Lochnessrockers and Honey Son with Olivia Sweet. The Falling Brianeers, GRA’s very first band from the Girls Rock Around the Clock after school program from St. Francis School will be making their debut appearance performing their new original song! Yeah, get ready for some heart-melting goodness!

Girls Rock Austin started this annual benefit as a way of saying thank you to all the different mothers and maternal figures who impact our lives by creating a fun, family-friendly event that’s affordable enough for kids to escort their moms to, all the while raising money for a great cause; sending girls in need to the Girls Rock Camp through the Unlimited Possibilities Scholarship Fund. GRA provides full scholarships to youth from the Settlement Home for Children, Austin Children’s Shelter and Refugee Services of TX as well as provide scholarships and financial aid to anyone who needs it — financial, physical and social barriers should never prevent our youth from gaining the empowerment that comes from creative expression. This event is sponsored in part by the City of Austin Cultural Arts Economic Development.
