A Tween Zine workshop for 4th and 5th graders to establish a Zine shelf at the Central Library.
A legacy project of Pease Elementary for the Central Library — 4th and 5th graders are invited to explore writing, illustration and tiny bookmaking to establish a permanent Zine Shelf in the Tween section of the downtown Central Library.
Funded by the City of Austin Cultural Arts Division and sponsored by Imagine Art, this project offers a series of workshops at the library (Sunday, May 5th 1-4PM) and at Pease Elementary (Thursdays May 2,9,16 3-5PM). The project culminates with a week-long camp – held at the Central Library June 17-21- 1-4 pm.
All workshops are open studio models that invite exploration and book making.
