This spring, Austin based nonprofit Song Rise Arts is connecting established songwriters with young musicians through their Young Artist Program. The program provides low-income and underserved youth with free songwriting classes and mentorship with professional musicians. A showcase at the Cactus Cafe will feature both the students’ original songs and music from mentors in the program, including Austin-based musicians Jai Malano, Seela, Erin Ivey & Kelley McRae.

The Young Artist Program Showcase takes place Wednesday, June 5^th at 7pm at the Cactus Cafe. Tickets are $20 and are available at www.cactuscafe.org.
