CMFW’s Spring Festival 2019 includes: Artist’s Concerts I and II, a Young Artists’ Concert, plus a cello & Chamber music Master Class session.
The four free-admission classical music events during CMFW’s festival are going to make Austin’s spring season even more beautiful and meaningful. They hope many Austinites will join them — all ages are welcome!
CMFW’s 2019 Spring Festival: “Embracing Freedom” opens with the Artist’s Concert I presenting a masterful performance of J. S. Bach’s Cello Suites No. 1 and No. 3 by Francesco Mastromatteo, Italian cellist and musicologist, on Sunday, April 28th at 4:00pm. The Festival concludes with Dr. Francesco Mastromatteo’s Cello Solo Concert II featuring works by C.A. Piatti and A.P. Piazzolla on Saturday, May 4th at 4:00pm. Both events take place at Oak Hill United Methodist Church located at 7815 W. Hwy 290, Austin, TX 78749.
On Friday, May 3rd at 7:00pm, The Young Artists’ Concert presenting some of Austin’s talented young musicians will take place at All Faiths Chapel located at 4110 Guadalupe St. Bldg #639, Austin, 78751.
On Thursday, May 2nd at 6:00pm, CMFW hosts a Master Class for cello and Chamber group by Dr. Francesco Mastromatteo, also at All Faiths Chapel in Austin.
The world-renowned Italian cellist and scholar, Francesco Mastromatteo, has been inspiring many Austin audiences and students over the past 10 years with his distinguished artistic performances and lectures. CMFW is looking forward to sharing this musical festival with the Austin community.
