Tales of Sleepless Nights is a performative walking tour of downtown Austin’s homeless grounds conceived and performed by Gathering Ground Theatre, a theatre troupe made up of Austinites who have lived experience with homelessness. The performances are a unique opportunity for Austinites to hear the voices and perspectives of folks who are dealing with homelessness and overcome social stigmas about what it means to be homeless. The tours will be followed by community conversations where audience members and Gathering Ground Theatre members can have an open and collaborative dialogue.

About Gathering Ground Theater

Gathering Ground Theatre is a theatre troupe of Austinites who have lived experience of homelessness and create plays based on their experiences, with the goal of sparking a city wide discussion around homelessness to create opportunities for unmediated, meaningful, and equal interactions for diverse groups.
