Minor Mishap Marching Band's Tour de Broccoli

Minor Mishap Marching Band's Tour de Broccoli

Presented by Minor Mishap Marching Band at Festival Beach

A series of short pop-up shows in East Austin’s urban farms and farmers markets by Austin’s own 25-piece Minor Mishap Marching Band — followed by a big show at the Festival Beach Food Forest!

Minor Mishap is a 25-piece renegade brass band, who’s mission is to foster community through playful, inventive, and joyful musical performances, which reinvigorate public spaces, encourage the creative involvement of the audience, and strengthen Austin’s musical community. Their intention is to bring together a diverse audience into a shared experience, to strengthen the sense of community, to increase citizen involvement in our city, and to enhance each individual’s connection to the arts and to each other.

This event is family-friendly, all are welcome, and it’s free!

1 pm short pop up show at HOPE Farmers Market (Plaza Saltillo)
2 pm pop up show and garden meander at Eden East Austin (755 Springdale Rd)
3 pm BIG SHOW followed by a community harvest festival at Festival Beach Food Forest (25 1/2 Waller)

Do you know that Austin has a food forest — a wonderful, sustainably planted, garden in our public park, where you are welcome to harvest foods? It’s an incredible project and Minor Mishap would like you to come experience it with them.

The Community Harvest Fest, hosted by Festival Beach Food Forest from 3-8 pm is also family and pet-friendly, and includes a seed exchange, fruit and herb harvesting, artisan crafts and a free store.

This project is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
