Love's Labour's Lost

Love's Labour's Lost

Presented by The Baron's Men at The Curtain Theatre

King Ferdinand and his buddies make an oath to swear off women for three years in the name of study. But the Princess of France and her ladies arrive on matters of state just in time to test the men’s will. Will they stay true to their oath or fall victim to the ladies charms? With the aid of a melancholy Spaniard, his saucy page, and a clown, the challenges of love begin, utilizing Shakespeare’s usual love letter mix ups, disguise, a base wench Milkmaid, some chatty scholarly types, puns, and a play within a play. But will love be gained or will it be lost?
