Ashé Arts Collective will provide a tasting of its repertoire to educate the community on the powerful work the organization does. The event highlights Black vendors, artists and business owners from Austin through a silent auction. Open to All!
Ashé Arts has announced their inaugural biannual fundraiser: THE SAMPLER: AN ASHÈ ARTS FUNDRAISER on February 27 at 7 pm at Impact Hub Austin’s South Austin event space – 411 W. Monroe Street in Austin.
“Ashé Arts is a sacred space in Austin. It uses the arts as a reviver. A living museum filled with tools to repair and reinforce with one another. Being in Austin as it is changing offers fertile ground for anything. We choose what we want our city to look like in the future. Ashé Arts is just a vehicle from which the foundation of a culturally appropriate & relevant Austin can be laid. We have worked diligently for the past 5 years, conjuring astonishment with little-to-no financial support. We wanted to show you first. Now let’s talk, Austin.”
– Sade Jones, Executive Artistic Director, Ashe Arts
THE SAMPLER: AN ASHÈ ARTS FUNDRAISER will bring together artists, philanthropists, community members and patrons to educate and entertain Austin on the importance of performance art as a tool for healing and empowerment. Ashé Arts focuses on the Black Experience throughout the Diaspora and uses performing arts to promote authentic diversity and cultural preservation of all.
