The Austin Jazz Workshop performs with students from fifteen Austin public schools in “The Birth of Bebop”, dedicated to the music of Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie.
Join the AJW as we perform with elementary students from across the district in our Fourth Annual Jazz Jubilee! Students will be featured on several numbers as we present a review of our current season, The Birth of Bebop.
The second half of the program will feature selections by the Small Middle School Jazz Band under the direction of Tonia Mathews.
