Join us for an evening centered around Giant, the epic film that traces one family through several generations in Texas. From ranching culture, the oil boom and the tension of racial segregation in Texas in the early 20th century, Giant has plenty of drama to talk about.

Film expert Dr. Charles Ramírez Berg and filmmaker Hector Galán will discuss the venerated movie: the reflections of Texan society that it presents and its lasting impact.

Giant Film Screening, 7:30 – 11:00 p.m.

After the program stick around for refreshments and a screening of Giant in its entirety. Because, who can resist watching James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor on the big screen?
