Ms.Rangarajan will be presenting a unique production – “Voices” which is an exploration of unusual poetry through dance, music and spoken word. The poems explored include the epic poem “Kamayani” by Jai Shankar Prasad (20th Century – Hindi), “Poetry arrived in search of me” by Pablo Neruda (20th Century – Original in Spanish – English translation), “Where Everything is Music” by Rumi (13th Century – Original in Persian – English translation), “Draupadi’s Dharma” by Pramila Venkateswaran (21st Century – Original in English – Tamil translation), and “Ishq” by Amir Khusrau (13th Century – Persian). Original music was specially commissioned and composed for all the pieces by Rajkumar Bharati & Sudha Raghuraman.
