3rd Annual Celebration of Diverse Literary Voices of Texas

Presented by KAZI Book Review and Austin Public Library at Austin Central Library Special Event Center

Featuring an exciting lineup of authors for the 3rd Annual Celebration of Diverse Literary Voices of Texas sponsored by KAZI Book Review, hosted and cosponsored by Austin Central Library, with support from the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department and PEN America. Pulitzer Prize winning writer Leonard Pitts, a news commentator and novelist is the featured author.
The event will kick-off with a special Black History Month panel discussion of the posthumously published book from Zora Neale Hurston, BARRACOON. It will also feature  panel discussions with authors discussing voter suppression,deconstructing Latinidad representation of immigration issues in the news and media, violence against marginalized groups, and diversity in different fiction genres.
