The Aztlan Dance Company presents the world premiere of “ITZPAPALOTL: Obsidian Butterfly,” an original full-length contemporary dance performance that explores the magical space(s) of ancient Aztec myth that informs modern mestizo woman and her lived experience.  Performances are June 4-7th, Thur-Sat at 8pm & Sun matinee at 2pm, at the Santa Cruz Theater, 1805 East Seventh Street in Austin.  Join us as AZTLAN once again dances its unique signature blend of Austin styled contemporary/expressive Xicano/Latino dance.
