Alice (1988) Special Screening

Alice (1988) Special Screening

Presented by Bullock Texas State History Museum at Bullock Texas State History Museum

In conjunction with the Harry Ransom Center and their not-to-be-missed exhibition Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the Bullock Museum will be presenting N?co z Alenky (Something from Alice, also known as Alice) from Czech filmmaker Jan Švankmajer.

Alice is Švankmajer’s 1988 feature film that uses stop motion and live action to create a surreal and dark adventure. Seen by many as the definitive Through the Looking-Glass/Alice in Wonderland film adaptation, Svankmajer takes us on Carroll’s absurd journey with all the glitter and shine scraped away. Follow the White Rabbit into strange and beautiful territory.
