Women Painting Women: Texas Exhibit

Women Painting Women: Texas Exhibit

Presented by Women Painting Women at Georgetown Art Center

Women Painting Women (WPW), presents an exhibit of fourteen Texas artists at the Georgetown Art Center curated by Nick Ramos. The artists are from throughout Texas, including seven from Austin. Women Painting Women is an international movement supporting contemporary women worldwide working in the figurative tradition. What began as a blog, founded by three women artists discussing how contemporary female artists handle women as subjects, soon evolved into a web-based platform spearheading a movement of women freely defining how they see themselves, sharing inspirations and promoting and exhibiting work.
