The time honored classic tale gets a new look in this ballet produced by Austin Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble.
Austin Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble will begin their season with the classic holiday tale,” The Nutcracker,” that has been told through the most famous ballet in history for hundreds of years. It is through the reimagining of this story that ballet companies across the nation have brought brilliant innovation and context that continues to inspire and excite new audiences every year. Join AMDE this year, along with guest artists from Ballet Austin, as they explore this story from a fresh perspective and get transported to a faraway land set against the beautiful music of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker.” Performances start November 30 and run through December 2 at the Boyd Vance Theater.
This project is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
