Taste of Mexico 2015

Presented by Mexic-Arte Museum at Brazos Hall

Mexic-Arte Museum invites the public to celebrate the unique culinary arts of Austin and Mexico with Taste of Mexico 2015 on Cinco de Mayo, a festival of Mexican and Mexican-inspired cuisine and beverages from over 30 of Austin’s most eclectic restaurants and flavorful purveyors, including Casa Chapala, El Naranjo, El Sol y La Luna, Herradura Tequila, Llama’s Peruvian Creole, Mi Madre, Serranos, Sweet Danny, Texas Coffee Traders, and lots more!

This “Austintatious Fiesta” will feature samples of authentic dishes and creative delights to support Mexic-Arte Museum’s Arts Education Program. Join the Museum in crossing the borders of culinary excellence and rediscovering the Mex in the Tex-Mex! The event will also feature contemporary Latin music by DJ Sonora of Peligrosa and Mariachi Chavez Inspiration. Taste of Mexico ticket sales support the Mexic-Arte Museum in its mission to offer enriching educational programs, including after-school outreach art classes; guided school tours; Family Day activities; artist workshops; and gallery guides which help students gain knowledge, pride, and skills enabling them to succeed in school and in the future.

This year, Taste of Mexico will feature the Bazaar del Arte, including Mexican folk arts and crafts, unique gifts, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces, selections from the Museum Store, and the Pop-up Print Shop hosted by our very own Screen It! Advanced Students and The Education Department.
