It benefits Austin Community Steelband’s programs offering free classes with transportation to teach low-income youth to become proficient performers, empowering and motivating them to achieve.

Swing your hips, move your feet to Afro-Colombian rhythm with Caribe soul.  Founders Nico Sanchez and guitarist Erick Bohorquez teamed up with guitarist Andres Villegas, drummer and vocalist Daniel Sanchez, bass and vocalist Nico Sanchez, percussionist Nicholas Tozzo, gaiter and vocalist Jaime Opina, Raymond Johnson on tenor sax, and Evan Haggargy on Keyboards. Their sound was defined when they met and recorded with Austin’s Grammy winning producer Adrian Quesa. Indigenous Colombian and African roots infuse with energetic brass to create a musical mixture with flavorful Caribbean beats.
