GRAMMY nominated jazz outfit, The Rippingtons, have enjoyed nearly four decades of a well-traveled inspired musical songbook. Audiences first took big notice of the group with the bold release, Moonlighting, in 1986. Headed by Russ Freeman, The Rippington's latest Peak Records recording is Cote D'Azur, inspired by the French Riviera and spirited French people. The collection also includes Latin-inspired tracks, and what Freeman described as his most heartfelt and stirring work of his career. Audience members rave about the musical journey that awaits – fusions of steel guitar, wild flamenco, soaring sax, and snappy melodies.
