Austin Symphony Orchestra presenting Brahms Variations with Conspirare Symphony Choir.
Passionate. Soulful. Incandescent. Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem is a masterpiece, continually growing in popularity. In attempt to communicate the shared experience of life and death contemplated by all, Brahms has the ability to successfully transform those thoughts into music’s universal language. In admiration of Haydn, Brahms wrote “Variations on the St. Antoni Chorale,” being performed during the first half before the ethereal voices of the Conspirare Symphonic Choir join the Symphony for his exquisite Requiem.
Guest vocalist: Heather Phillips, soprano; Paul Max Tipton, baritone
