We're New Here

We're New Here

Presented by City of Austin Cultural Arts Division at Volcom Garden

The City of Austin’s Cultural Arts Division and Volcom proudly presents “We’re New Here,” a photography exhibition featuring ongoing bodies of work from Sandy Carson, Clif Wright and Adrian Whipp.

Sandy Carson,  will be exhibiting work from his forthcoming 3rd book ‘I’m New Here‘, a 20 year study of the American social landscape through the eyes of an outsider and ex-pat. A preview copy of the monograph will be available on the night.
Adrian Whipp has created a series of mini acid-trip photographic glass plates ‘The Aleph’, each containing a small universe of images covered with an alchemical mess of silver nitrate and imagery. Seeing is believing!
Clif Wright ‘s beautiful body of work ‘Location Becomes Place‘- a culture exploration of Northern New Mexico and the Texas Panhandle will also be on view.
Come to the opening reception on Saturday 9/8 for an evening of art, music and refreshments. Communion (the band) will be performing at 9pm and beverages have been graciously supplied by Independence Brewing. This event has been made possible by support from the City of Austin’s Cultural Arts Division.
