Being different isn’t easy, and it’s hard to fit in when you always stand out. Award-winning choreographer Jimmy Orrante brings to life the Hans Christian Anderson fairytale, The Ugly Duckling, through a whimsical exploration of the joy to be found when you celebrate someone’s “inner swan.” This hour-long dance work, performed by our apprentice company, Ballet Austin II, in our in-house studio theater, is the perfect “starter ballet” for children ages 3-10.
