Summer Camp - Where the Wild Things Are: A Monstrous Mashup because Beauty Can Also Be a Beast

Summer Camp - Where the Wild Things Are: A Monstrous Mashup because Beauty Can Also Be a Beast

Presented by Austin Children's Theater at The Fallout Theater

Looking for adventure, a young group of explorers set out to find…wild things… monsters… fantastical creatures… Discover where the wild things are, find your beauty, harness your beast. Explore all forms of theater, art, play-making, and expression as we create a play to perform on Friday detailing our many adventures together.

When you attend Austin Children’s Theatre summer camps, you become part of the ACT family. This year they’re teaming up with some of Austin’s top teaching artistic talent to provide the best summer camp programming possible!

The camps explore the many aspects of theatre and art, all inspired by a weekly theme. Campers embark on creative journeys that spark their imaginations. Camps focus on teaching the creative process through games, movement, storyboarding, art projects, music, film and more. Campers engage in all aspects of the creative process. Our talented staff nurtures individual campers as they collaborate in group settings. Although there is down-time for campers, there is never a dull moment!

Each weekly camp culminates with a performance or art gallery installation, leaving the campers with a final work of art to share with family and friends, and great memories that will last a lifetime.
