Landmarks Public Tour

Landmarks Public Tour

Presented by Landmarks, the public art program of The University of Texas at Austin at Walter Conkrite Plaza

The type of color palette an artist chooses can hold strong symbolic meaning. Vibrant colors like red and orange show energy and passion; while cool colors like blue and green are calming and sometimes even meloncholy. Join Landmarks for a docent-led tour and explore how and why artists use color in monumental outdoor sculpture.

Meet at 10 a.m. on Sunday, 3 June at Peter Reginato’s Kingfish on Whitis Avenue, between 24th and Dean Keeton Streets in the Walter Cronkite Plaza (map). Free and open to the public.

Sunday walking tours commence rain or shine. Please dress accordingly.

Please note the time change. June through August tours will start at 10 a.m. due to the summer heat.
