The Austin aesthetic then and now: 15 Contemporary Artists in one of Austin’s oldest spaces.
The Neill-Cochran House Museum is proud to welcome 15 local artists into its historic spaces for the 3rd annual pop-up exhibition for the West Austin Studio Tour. Unusual among stops on the tour, artists will show their original paintings, prints, and sculptures amidst 19th and 20th century decorative arts and architecture.
The exhibition will be on display May 12-13 & 19-20 from 11am-6pm and museum admission is free. The Neill-Cochran House Museum will also host a free lunchtime talk and tour with exhibiting artists on Tues May 15, from 11:30am -1:30pm. There will be a ticketed gala hosted by Big Medium and Freedmen’s Bar Thursday May 17th 6-9pm. Tickets will be available in advance or at the door.
Big Medium’s WEST is a free, annual, self guided art event spanning two weekends in May.
This event is free and open to the public. Tickets for the Thursday May 17th 6-9pm gala are available for purchase for $25 a ticket in advance or at the door. A portion of the proceeds of art and ticket sales benefit the museum and Big Medium.
