Sound in Sculpture

Sound in Sculpture

Presented by Landmarks, the public art program of The University of Texas at Austin and Fusebox Festival and Butler School of Music at The University of Texas at Austin and Texas Performing Arts at Gates Dell Complex

Sound in Sculpture returns for a fourth year, once again as part of the dynamic, city-wide Fusebox Festival! This event showcases original music composed and performed by UT students inspired by works in the public art collection. Each performance takes place against the backdrop of a site-specific work of art commissioned or purchased by Landmarks.

There will be one round of six individual performances this year. Please join us at 6:30 p.m. at the Gates Dell Complex (GDC), home to Sol LeWitt’s Circle with Towers and Wall Drawing #520 and Casey Reas’ A Mathematical Theory of Communication. Reception to follow performances.

Parking is available in the Brazos Garage.

Sound in Sculpture is a partnership between Landmarks, Texas Performing Arts, the Sarah and Ernest Butler School of Music, and Fusebox Festival.
