The magic sound of Yerevan

This evening’s performance will feature Armenian music performed on the santour, the Armenian national instrument, with piano and Armenian dhol (Armenian percussion)accompaniment. Armenian santour maestro Sarkis Petrosyan, internationally acclaimed pianist Hamayag Hovanessian with Artour Galstyan will perform folk and Classical music which spans the Armenian tradition from the 12th century to the 20th century. The trio performers were classically trained at the Komitas State Conservatory for Music of Yerevan.
