Louisiana native and Austin resident Ben Millburn released a two part EP series called The Balance EPs over the last year. PopMatters described Part II as “downright chilly, like if Kurt Vile’s weirdest stuff was even more glacial and empty. Its folksy guitar is less down-home friendliness and more tumbleweedy desert, no life around for miles.”

Otis Wilkins is the moniker songwriter Taylor Wilkins uses when he’s not performing in his rock ‘n’ roll band Otis the Destroyer. Inspired by his father’s nickname in college, which he then gave to his first pet dog, the name Otis has always been in the family.
