Come to the ESB-MACC on September 30th and enjoy a night of music and dance from the Southern Cone of South America (Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay).
The Latino Artists Residency Program at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican-American Cultural Center of the City of Austin presents Los Bohemios Perdidos in concert. Ecuadorian singer/guitarist, Javier Jara, and Puertorrican guitarist, Carlos “Millo” Ufret, will be joined by first-class musicians to bring the passionate and diverse sounds of the Southern Cone to life. From the bay of the La Plata river, down to the pampas and glacial mountains. Come listen to tangos porteños, zambas argentinas, cuecas chilenas, candombe uruguayo, trovas, and more. Music by Víctor Jara, Carlos Gardel, Kevin Johansen, Gustavo Leguizamón, Violeta Parra, Fito Páez, Ástor Piazzolla, and many more. The performance will include Tango dancers.
Argentinean food will be for sale by the Buenos Aires Café.
Tickets are $10 online, $15 at the door.
