Living Springs Documentary Screening

Presented by Living Springs and Austin Parks Foundation at Barton Springs South Side

AUSTIN, Texas—August 18, 2017—On Saturday, September 2nd, Living Springs, in collaboration with Splash!, The Austin Parks Foundation and the Save Barton Creek Association will debut our newest video, Wildlands. This 22-minute documentary showcases Austin’s water quality protection lands. Did you know that Austin manages 26,000 acres that have been purchased by voters through open space bonds to protect the aquifer? Learn about the myriad benefits of preserving our aquifer lands.

Environmental groups will be on hand before the screening to talk about how you can get involved in community efforts to support the Springs, creeks and aquifer.

We will gather at 7:30 p.m. (near the big tree at the south entrance, Robert E. Lee Road) The screening will begin at full dark and last approximately 30 minutes. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Before or after the screening, take a swim in the Springs!
