New compositions infusing classical with electronic effects from Austin composer Graham Reynolds.
Presented by Golden Hornet Composer Laboratory, Water Music is a pairing of two performances featuring new Graham Reynolds compositions. Flutist Sarah Jane Hargis will perform a new commissioned piece which infuses her classical training with an exploration of electric pedals and effects. Following the flute piece will be a new concert suite, performed by Reynolds, Jeremy Bruch, and Alexis Ebbets Buffum. Calling on George Frideric Handel’s own Water Music orchestral movements, the pieces are developed and adapted from Reynolds’ live score contributions to Forklift Dancework’s recent Batholomew Swims series.
