The Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts is pleased to announce the opening of its new west campus location! ASPVA will continue the tradition of artistic and academic excellence in a 10,000 square foot facility that includes 7 studios located in the hills of Central West Austin, and conveniently placed on a Capital Metro bus route.

ASPVA is also excited to announce a new collaboration with Alisa’s Dance Academy, ADA, whose state-of-the-art, fine arts facilities, and award winning dance program will further support ASPVA’s bright, young stars. ADA features some of the most talented dancers Austin has to offer, housing the National Champions; Austin’s Dance Elite and Protegee Pre-Professional Company. ADA was named “Best Dance Studio in Austin” by the Austin Chronicle, and voted “Best Studio” by the Austin A-List Award. Impressive indeed!

ASPVA is currently enrolling students in grades 6 – 12 for their full-time program including pre-conservatory and college-preparatory courses for the 2017-18 school year, in addition to 1-year post graduates for ASPVA’s fine arts program. Prospective students and families are encouraged to learn more, and to schedule an informational meeting at www.theaustinschool.org.  All are welcome to attend our  Open House on Sunday, August 13th from 3:00 – 5:00 pm where you can meet the ASPVA and ADA Directors, witness performances by some of their very gifted performing and visual artists, learn more about program offerings, and meet other folks involved with both organizations. 

For the super motivated artist who would like to join us in time for the first day of school, we will host a “Decision on the Spot Day”  where prospective students may audition for Singer-songwriter, Guitar, Piano, Visual Arts, Dance, Musical Theatre and Theatre on Sunday, August 13th starting at 5:30 pm following Open House.  Please send an email to info@theaustinschool.org or call 512.522.7782 to sign-up.  Application fees will be waived and scholarships will be awarded to qualifying candidates!
