CALLING YOUNG ARTISTS!  Spectrum Theatre Company is seeking young people to participate FREE OF CHARGE this summer in Master Class with the Stars.  It’s an initiative that puts everyday folks face to face with celebrity and professional artists and entertainers for fun learning experiences with life changing potential!  We’ve teamed up with the Black Googlers Network of Austin to launch with four (4) master class sessions hosted weekly on Saturdays, from July 22nd through August 12th.  We’ll use Hangouts and other Google apps to make it all happen. 

Inner city minority youth ages 6 to 18 are encouraged to apply.   Students may attend one or more sessions according to availability and age requirements.  Students will be exposed to so many great things:

 – A visit to a Google Austin office to experience their creative workspace
 – A college classroom learning experience at historic Huston-Tillotson University
 – A chance to participate in the Capital City Black Film Festival this August
 – Interaction with real Stars… 

        – Giancarlo Esposito — from ABC’s Once Upon a Time and AMC’s Breaking Bad.
        – Eugene Lee —actor/playwright who is currently touring as August Wilson in “How I Learned What I Learned.” 
        – Lisa B. Thompson — internationally renowned playwright and associate professor at UT Austin. 
        – Greg Perrin — playwright and  Associate Vice President and Executive Director for Development at The University of Texas at Austin

*There will also be a special appearance from former NFL player and UT Rose Bowl Championship team member, Justin Blalock.
