Enjoy a beautiful painting exhibit indoors and serene sculptures on the grounds at the Wildflower Center while learning about native plants, visiting the café and store and other offerings. In “Primordial Patterns,” Jules Buck Jones captures owls and other wildlife in his edgy oils and watercolors. His works are inspired by mythology and more, and are on display through March 29 in the McDermott Learning Center. Fellow Austinite John Christensen has 10 of his nature-inspired abstracts in the Center gardens through May. Each of the renowned sculptor’s pieces is made from different materials, including limestone, resin, steel and bronze.
