The Blanton Museum of Art is the largest university art museum in the United States, and is a central hub for learning and dynamic cultural exchange in our city, state, and region. The museum’s vast holdings – over 18,000 artworks ranging from the renaissance through today – make the Blanton a valuable resource for faculty and students.
The museum is committed to increasing art awareness and appreciation by providing engaging programs, events, and tours for educators, students, faculty, and the general public. Through innovative programming, we invite our visitors to experience the Blanton in multiple ways, creating lifelong connections to art.
The Blanton’s K–12 programs range from student tours that explore art and ideas, to teacher workshops that instruct educators on how to integrate museum visits into core curricula. Art making activities and story time are also offered.
