St. Philip’s United Methodist Church was organized in November of 1983 by the Commission on Church Growth and Development of the Central Texas Annual Conference. The first worship service was held in November, 1983, and met in the Brushy Creek Elementary School. On April 29th, 1984, St. Philip’s officially became an organized congregation of The United Methodist Church.
