SIPM, the School of Indian Percussion and Music, is a non-profit school established in 2008 and incorporated in 2009 as a non-profit organization under 501(C)(3). It is purpose is to teach Indian classical musical instruments and dance. Currently, Gourisankar teaches Tabla. All are welcome to take classes. SIPM conducts 2-semester courses as well as Tabla workshops. One of the goals of SIPM is to teach under privileged students. SIPM also brings famous artists to perform and teach.
