Founded in 1983 by raúlrsalinas, Xicanindio poet and human rights activist, Red Salmon Arts (RSA) is a grassroots Native American/ Chicana/o based literary and cultural arts organization. RSA advocates a vision of arts programming as an instrument for community empowerment and transformation. RSA brings established, groundbreaking, and emerging writers, artists, cultural workers, scholars, and educators to the underserved Indigenous, Latina/o, and Black communities of South and East Austin,
