At Patsy’s Cowgirl Cafe, you can come by for appetizers, margaritas, beer, and live music. Live music is every Wednesday through Saturdays, with no cover. Sedwick says her cafe is “Texas roadhouse meets Austin eclectic.” The menu is a good test of that approach; the Kinky Friedman sandwich includes house-smoked (but not by cigar) corned beef with Gruyère cheese, sauerkraut and Russian dressing, while the Sandra Bullock is smoked turkey, avocado, bacon and Swiss cheese on toasted bread, “sort of a Californian gone Texan,” Sedwick says.
